About Grandalia™ Dark Rose Dahlia

Grandalia™ Dark Rose is a named Dahlia x hybrida selection in Syngenta’s Grandalia™ series, with upright growth and pink-rose double flowers. The current Americas profile lists part sun to full sun, flowering from mid-spring through summer, and a garden size of 14–16 inches high by 18–22 inches wide ([Dark Rose product profile](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70076370)). ## Seasonal interest The double blooms add a saturated pink-rose accent to large containers and sunny borders. Syngenta describes this selection as medium-vigorous and uniform, and marks it as pollinator friendly. Its upright habit suits a seasonal display where the flowers can rise above lower companions. ## Placement and growing Give it sun or part sun in fertile, well-drained soil. The listed 18–22-inch width is useful when spacing plants in a pot or border; container-grown dahlias also need reliable drainage and watering as the growing medium dries. The breeder recommends the Grandalia series for larger pots. ## Maintenance Remove spent flowers regularly to support continued display. Dahlias are tender in freezing conditions, so protect the tubers in winter or lift and store them in a frost-free place where needed ([RHS dahlia growing guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/dahlia/growing-guide)).
