Sandgem™ Fuchsia Delosperma cooperi

SANDGEM™ Fuchsia is a named Delosperma cooperi selection listed in the 2024–25 ThinkPlants catalog. The catalog describes the SANDGEM™ series as semi-trailing, with large bright flowers for landscape plantings and mixed containers, and gives a typical size of 4–6 inches tall by 12–16 inches wide, part sun to full sun, late-spring-to-fall flowering, and zones 5–9 ([ThinkPlants catalog, page 29](https://online.flippingbook.com/view/530070179/29/)). Danziger’s current series overview describes a semi-trailing, mounded plant for ground cover, hanging baskets, and pots ([Danziger SANDGEM™ series](https://www.danzigeronline.com/series_perennials/sandgem/)). The Fuchsia product name identifies this selected color form. The low spreading form is useful along a sunny path, in a rock garden, or where it can drape over the edge of a container. The catalog lists Fuchsia among the SANDGEM™ product names, while its cultural and size information describes the series as a whole. ## Maintenance Grow in sun or partial sun in freely draining soil, avoiding standing water. The series is promoted for heat- and drought-tolerant planting programs. Water while the plant establishes, then add supplemental water during extended dry spells.
