Delosperma Wheels of Wonder™ Fire Wonder

Wheels of Wonder™ Fire Wonder (Delosperma 'WOWDAY2', PP25645) is a low, trailing ice plant with orange and yellow flowers over succulent foliage. It fits sunny rock gardens, edges, containers, and broad groundcover plantings where excess water drains away. ## Garden use Use it to spill along a warm, open border edge or cover a sunny bank between stones. Saunders Brothers describes a 3–4 inch height and 18–24 inch spread, while Concept Plants gives 6 inches by 20 inches; allow for this variation and leave room for the mat to spread. Both sources identify the named Fire Wonder selection and its bright flowers. The nursery account lists spring, summer, and fall flowering; the breeder page describes a longer display from early summer into early winter. Butterflies visit the flowers, and this selection tolerates heat and dry conditions once established. ## Maintenance Water regularly while new roots establish, then let the soil dry between watering. Avoid sites that remain wet, especially in containers; use a free-draining mix and a pot with drainage holes.
