Excalibur Light Blue White Bee is Syngenta's named Delphinium elatum color form, identified by product code 70001032. Its upright, well-branched stems carry pale-blue panicles with a contrasting white center, and the product profile gives a garden size of 60–80 cm tall by 14–18 cm wide with flowering from mid-spring through summer.
## Container role
Use it in a larger pot or as a narrow vertical accent in a sunny border. The [Syngenta product profile](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/emea/product/flower/70001032) describes sturdy stems, developed flower panicles, and suitability for larger containers.
## Growing conditions
Delphiniums do best in fertile, moisture-retentive soil that drains well. Choose full sun to light shade and shelter the stems from strong winds and heavy rain. They perform best with cool summers; in hotter places, some afternoon shade can reduce stress. Avoid saturated soil and leave room for air around the foliage.
## Maintenance
Stake exposed stems before flowering. Remove faded spikes to encourage side shoots, then cut down old growth after it has withered. Inspect for slugs, aphids, and leaf disease, especially in humid weather. All parts of Delphinium are harmful if eaten, so handle with gloves. See the [RHS care profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/5398/delphinium-elatum/details) and [NC State Extension's D. elatum guide](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/delphinium-elatum/).
