Guardian Mixture Delphinium

Guardian Mixture is a Delphinium elatum selection in PanAmerican Seed’s Guardian F1 series. It has an upright habit and breeder-listed dimensions of 30–39 inches tall by 10–12 inches wide, with outdoor hardiness in USDA zones 4a–7b. ## Garden Profile PanAmerican lists this mixture for sun and early-spring to spring flowering. The Guardian series is used in perennial landscape plantings, commercial cut-flower production, and potted plant programs. The mixture identity suits group plantings where a coordinated series selection is wanted; see the [Guardian Mixture profile](https://www.panamseed.com/Products/022103336003332/delphinium-guardian-mixture/) and [2026–27 catalog entry](https://catalog.panamseed.com/view/445948364/133/). ## Planting Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny position protected from strong winds. Leave room around the plants so upright flower stems are not crowded. ## Maintenance Stake developing stems, water during dry periods to keep the soil moist but not saturated, and deadhead spent spikes to encourage further flowering.
