About Constant Beauty® Crush Pink - Dianthus caryophyllus

Constant Beauty® Crush Pink is a double-flowered garden selection in Green Fuse’s Dianthus hybrid Constant Beauty® series. Its pink-and-red bicolor blooms and compact garden scale bring a clear color accent to containers and the front of sunny borders. ## Garden character Green Fuse describes the Constant Beauty® series as uniform in habit and subtly fragrant, and its Crush selections as bicolor and summer flowering. The breeder’s culture sheet gives a garden size of about 6–10 inches tall by 10–12 inches wide. The patent for code DDTSS12-0 identifies a Dianthus hybrid with double pink-and-red flowers and extended bloom into summer; U.S. Plant Patent PP32061 issued August 11, 2020. See the [Green Fuse series page](https://green-fuse.com/new/dianthus-constant-beauty/), [2025–26 catalog](https://green-fuse.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/GreenFuse-Catalog-2025-26-singles.pdf), [culture sheet](https://green-fuse.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Dianthus-Constant-Beauty%C2%AE.pdf), and [patent record](https://patents.justia.com/patent/PP32061). ## Siting Use a sunny position and moist, gritty, well-drained soil. North Carolina Extension describes carnation culture as favoring full sun and drainage, while Green Fuse describes Constant Beauty® as continuing through summer heat. Site plants where water drains promptly; the breeder’s greenhouse finishing targets are production instructions rather than garden watering rules. ## Maintenance Deadhead fading flowers to prolong the display, keep mulch away from the crown, and watch for rust or crown rot where drainage or air circulation is poor.
