About Constant Beauty® Crush Rose - Dianthus caryophyllus

Constant Beauty® Crush Rose is a double-flowered garden selection in Green Fuse’s Dianthus hybrid Constant Beauty® series. The three-color red-purple flowers with light pink margins give containers and border edges a detailed, close-viewed accent. ## Garden character The patent for code DDTRO15-0 identifies this selection as a Dianthus hybrid with red-purple flowers, brighter central markings and light pink margins. It records continuous flowering from spring through fall and suitability for gardens and containers; U.S. Plant Patent PP33185 issued June 22, 2021. Green Fuse describes Constant Beauty® as a double-flowered, subtly fragrant series with uniform habit, and gives garden dimensions of 6–10 inches high by 10–12 inches wide. See the [Green Fuse series page](https://green-fuse.com/new/dianthus-constant-beauty/), [2025–26 catalog](https://green-fuse.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/GreenFuse-Catalog-2025-26-singles.pdf), [culture sheet](https://green-fuse.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Dianthus-Constant-Beauty%C2%AE.pdf), and [patent record](https://www.hort.net/pedia/patent/grant/33185/). ## Siting Use a sunny position and moist, gritty, well-drained soil. North Carolina Extension describes carnation culture as favoring full sun and drainage, while Green Fuse describes Constant Beauty® as continuing through summer heat. Site plants where water drains promptly; the breeder’s greenhouse finishing targets are production instructions rather than garden watering rules. ## Maintenance Deadhead fading flowers to prolong the display, keep mulch away from the crown, and watch for rust or crown rot where drainage or air circulation is poor.
