About Super Parfait™ Strawberry Dianthus

Super Parfait™ Strawberry is a compact F1 dianthus with rounded, branching growth and large red bicolor flowers. Syngenta lists this color variety at 6–8 inches tall by 8–10 inches wide, in full sun, with mid-spring flowering. [Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70002706) ## Garden Placement Use this low mound at the front of seasonal beds, along a sunny path, or in containers where its patterned flowers can be seen close up. Its compact size suits window boxes and mixed annual displays; leave room around the crown for air movement. ## Growing Conditions Chinese pinks are usually grown as annuals, even though the species can be a short-lived perennial or biennial. They flower best in average, well-drained soil with dry-to-medium moisture and can benefit from afternoon shade where summer heat is intense. Poor drainage can contribute to crown rot or rust, while deep shade can reduce flowering. Deadhead and trim after a heavy bloom flush to encourage more flowers. In hot, humid climates, treat the plant as seasonal color and replace it when heat shortens its display.
