Create design onlineAbout Constant Cadence® Raspberry - Dianthus
Constant Cadence® Raspberry is a compact dianthus with deep raspberry-pink, double flowers and a tidy habit. Gertens identifies the selection as code DCARA06-0 and reports a May–September bloom period; Hoffie Nursery describes its flowers as scented and lists the plant for borders and containers.
## Garden Use
Use this low-growing perennial at the front of a border, along an edging, in a rock garden, or in a container. The flowers repeat through the growing season, and the pink color combines easily with silver or green foliage.
## Growing Conditions
Give the plant full sun; light afternoon shade can help in hot-summer locations. Plant in well-drained soil and water regularly during its first growing season. Once established, it tolerates dry spells, though occasional water during prolonged heat keeps the foliage fuller.
## Maintenance
Remove spent flowers to encourage more buds and keep the mound neat.
