About Constant Cadence® White Imp - Dianthus

Dianthus Constant Cadence® White Imp (DCAWH09-1) is an improved white selection in Green Fuse Botanicals’ Constant Cadence series. The breeder describes the series as uniform and fully double-flowered, with a pot-carnation look and garden vigor. ## Flowers and size [Green Fuse’s 2025–26 catalog](https://green-fuse.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/GreenFuse-Catalog-2025-26-singles.pdf) lists White Imp among the Constant Cadence forms. It gives the series a garden height of 6–8 inches and lists it for zone 4. White Imp retains the series’ double-flower character; the trade name identifies this color form. Green Fuse’s [product page](https://green-fuse.com/new/dianthus-constant-cadence/) identifies Constant Cadence as a Dianthus hybrid and shows White among the series colors. ## Siting Use this low selection near the front of a sunny border or in a container. Dianthus generally grows best in full sun and well-drained soil; the [Royal Horticultural Society’s Dianthus guidance](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/5729/dianthus-monspessulanus/details) advises against persistently wet ground. The plant’s low scale suits a border edge or container. ## Maintenance Water regularly while plants establish, then adjust for rainfall and container drying. Remove faded flower stems to keep the planting tidy and support continued flowering. A light trim after the main display helps maintain a compact outline.
