Fruit Punch® ‘Coconut Punch’ is a hybrid Dianthus selected for fragrant, fully double white flowers edged in deep wine red. The compact perennial carries blue-green foliage and gives a strong early-summer display with the possibility of a lighter repeat bloom in fall.
## Flowers and placement
The [Proven Winners cultivar catalog](https://www.provenwinners.com/sites/provenwinners.com/files/images/professional/catalogs/2013-catalog-perennial-section-o.pdf) describes the fluffy white flowers, wine-red picotee edge, grassy mound, and a height of about 12 inches. The series profile lists zones 4–9, 6–12 inches tall, and 8–12 inches of spacing; the [plant patent](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP21876P2/en) confirms the cultivar name and its white flowers with a burgundy margin.
## Siting
Plant in full sun or light shade in well-drained soil. Avoid leaving the crown in wet soil, particularly in winter; once established, the cultivar tolerates heat and some drought. Use it along a sunny border, in a container, or as a small cut flower.
## Maintenance
Water during extended dry weather, then allow excess moisture to drain. Shear lightly after the first flush to tidy the mound and encourage a possible fall rebloom.
