Flow® Apella Beach® Pinks

Flow® Apella Beach is the commercial name for the Dianthus selection 'Hilbechapell' (breeder code HILBECHAPELL). It forms a compact mound with freely produced, double yellow-green flowers and is suited to patio pots and garden containers. ## Form and flowers The cultivar patent records a uniformly mounding, upright-to-spreading plant with yellow-green double flowers. Measurements were taken on greenhouse-grown container plants, so they describe production-stage plants rather than a USDA landscape size. [The cultivar patent](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP31942P3/en) preserves the identity 'Hilbechapell'; [HilverdaFlorist's Flow catalogue](https://www.hilverdaflorist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/HilverdaFlorist-catalogue-pot-and-garden-2022-WEB.pdf) lists Apella Beach under that exact denomination and code. ## Siting Use it as a close-viewing container accent or in a sheltered patio planting where the unusual flower color is easy to notice. Choose a pot with drainage and avoid leaving the roots in standing water. ## Maintenance Remove faded flower stems to keep the mound orderly. In mixed containers, leave space around the plant so its rounded form and flowers remain visible.
