About Rockin'™ Pink Magic Dianthus

Rockin’™ Pink Magic is the pink selection of the interspecific Sweet William series, sold under breeder code PAS1350217. Its upright plants reach about 18–24 inches tall and 10–12 inches wide, with flowers that open white and deepen from light pink to rich pink. The breeder lists USDA zones 5a–8b and flowering from early spring through summer and later seasonal windows. ## Garden Use Use Pink Magic as a vertical accent in a sunny or partly sunny perennial border, or in a larger patio container where its shifting flower color can be seen. Leave about 12 inches between plants. The breeder lists bees, butterflies, and fragrant flowers among its characteristics, so it also suits a pollinator planting. See the [Ball Seed plant profile](https://info.ballseed.com/PlantInfo/?phid=022508077008168) for the exact selection and dimensions. ## Growing Plant in full sun or partial sun. The breeder lists medium water and reliable overwintering from USDA zone 5, with a 5a–8b hardiness range. The upright foliage and long flowering season make it useful for a mixed perennial border; the listed height and spread are approximate mature dimensions. ## Maintenance Remove faded flower heads to keep the display neat and encourage a fresh flush when conditions allow. Water during establishment and extended dry spells, then adjust to local soil and weather. Allow enough space for the mature clump rather than crowding it into a narrow edging strip.
