Dieffenbachia Tropic Snow Plant

Dieffenbachia ‘Tropic Snow’ is an evergreen indoor foliage plant with creamy-green leaves edged and marked in darker green. The Royal Horticultural Society lists it at about 1–1.5 m tall and 0.1–0.5 m wide, making it useful where a compact specimen can be sheltered from cold. ## Light and placement Place it in bright filtered light or partial shade, away from harsh direct sun. A stable warm room and higher humidity help maintain the foliage; the RHS recommends a loam-based, peat-free potting mix and a sheltered position. ## Water and safety Water moderately during active growth and keep the mix just moist in winter. All parts are toxic if eaten and sap can irritate skin and eyes, so wear gloves and place the plant away from children and pets. NC State Extension notes that Tropic Snow can reach about six feet in some conditions, so growth varies with environment and age.
