Double Up™ White is a compact annual wax begonia with fully double white flowers set against dark bronze to nearly black foliage. Proven Winners describes a dense, upright, globe-shaped plant that blooms through summer and does not need deadheading, making it useful for long-lasting bedding and containers.
## Landscape Use
Plant it along borders and paths, in massed beds, or as a container filler. Its bright blossoms stand out against dark foliage and combine well with silver, green, or purple-leaved companions. [Proven Winners’ cultivar page](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/begonia/double-white-begonia-semperflorens) lists an 8–18 inch height, 8–14 inch spread, upright habit, and suitability for borders, edging, landscapes, and containers.
## Siting and Size
This cultivar tolerates sun or shade and is listed for USDA zones 10–11. The published mature size is 0.20–0.46 m tall and 0.20–0.36 m wide. Give it well-drained soil and steady moisture; container plants dry faster than in-ground plantings.
## Seasonal Interest
Flowers are produced from planting until frost in seasonal displays. Dark foliage adds contrast even between flushes. Proven Winners notes that the flowers are self-cleaning and that deadheading is unnecessary.
## Maintenance
Water regularly, especially in containers, and feed as needed to support continuous flowering. Remove frost-damaged plants where winters are cold; this is sold as an annual and is hardy outdoors year-round only in warm zones. The [Proven Winners growing guide](https://www.provenwinners.com/learn/how-plant/begonia) also describes the Double Up series’ compact growth and double flowers.
