Create design onlineAbout Lemon Lime Dracaena
Dracaena fragrans ‘Lemon Lime’ is an evergreen selection with narrow leaves striped in green, lime, and cream. Its vivid foliage suits a container indoors or a sheltered tropical patio. [RHS](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/119080/dracaena-fragrans-deremensis-group-lemon-lime-v/details) lists the accepted selection and size; [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/dracaena-fragrans/common-name/warneckei-dracaena/) describes its leaf colors.
## Landscape Use
The RHS reports mature height of 1–1.5 m and spread of 0.5–1 m, fitting a floor-standing foliage plant with room for arching leaves. Its bright stripes show well against a simple background. Use it as a container plant rather than an exposed frost-prone landscape subject.
## Growing Conditions
Provide filtered or bright indirect light, avoiding harsh hot sun. The selection tolerates lower indoor light, though growth may slow. Use well-drained potting mix; the RHS lists loam, clay, and sandy soils. Water thoroughly, then let excess drain. Keep soil lightly moist during active growth and somewhat drier in winter.
## Maintenance
Wipe leaves occasionally and check for scale or spider mites. Remove damaged foliage with clean shears. Repot when roots fill the container; no routine pruning is needed. Protect this tropical plant from chilling temperatures.
