Mint Pearl is an Echeveria selection with the genus’s fleshy, evergreen rosette form. Echeverias make compact foliage accents for pots, sunny windowsills, and rock gardens when their leaves receive bright light and their roots stay well drained. ## Light and water
Indoors, give the plant bright, indirect light; outdoors, Echeverias generally tolerate full sun to partial shade after acclimation. Use gritty cactus compost or another sharply draining mix in a pot with drainage holes. Water modestly once the mix approaches dryness, and reduce watering during the cool winter rest. Avoid standing water around the roots. [RHS Echeveria guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/echeveria)
## Display and maintenance
The tight rosette works well in shallow containers, rock gardens, and dry border edges. Mature Echeverias can produce offsets at the base; these may be separated and rooted in well-drained mix. Flower stalks rise above the foliage in summer, adding seasonal height while keeping the main rosette compact. ## Maintenance
Remove spent flower stalks and fallen leaves, and allow the growing medium to dry between waterings. Bring outdoor plants under cover before frost; Echeverias are not reliably hardy in freezing conditions.
