Sky Pearl is a trade-named Echeveria pulidonis selection in Ovata’s Pearls range. It forms a tight rosette of dark grey-green, wax-coated leaves with grey-purple margins and coloring near the leaf tips. The RHS records the selection as ‘Ovpearls05’, matching the denomination in its plant patent. ## Identity and appearance
The compact rosette and cool foliage colors suit a small pot or a close-up succulent display. Avoid touching the waxy leaves, which can retain fingerprints where the coating is rubbed away. Ovata lists Sky Pearl in its own Echeveria assortment. [Ovata succulent range](https://www.ovata.nl/en/succulents/)
## Placement and growing conditions
Provide bright, filtered light and a sharply draining cactus or succulent compost in a pot with drainage holes. Water thoroughly, then wait until the compost is nearly dry before watering again; use less water in winter. Echeverias are tender: move the plant outdoors only in warm weather and protect it from frost and prolonged damp. [RHS Echeveria guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/echeveria)
## Maintenance
Keep water from pooling in the centre of the rosette and clear away dry lower leaves when needed. Check the compost moisture before each watering, as the drying interval changes with temperature and light.
