Thriller Pearl is a trade-named Echeveria lilacina selection in Ovata’s Pearls range. Its flattened basal rosette has pale grey-green, waxy leaves with lightly undulated margins and distinctive rounded growths on the undersides; young leaf edges can show a soft grey-purple tint. ## Identity and appearance
The selection code is ‘Ovpearls09’. Its unusual surface texture and pale rosette make it a close-view foliage plant for a small pot or sheltered display. Ovata lists Thriller Pearl in its own Echeveria range. [Ovata succulent range](https://www.ovata.nl/en/succulents/)
## Placement and growing conditions
Grow in bright, filtered light with a free-draining cactus or succulent compost and a container that drains freely. Water thoroughly after the mix has dried nearly through, and reduce watering in winter. Echeverias are frost tender; keep the plant protected from cold and prolonged wet, and move it outdoors only during warm weather. [RHS Echeveria guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/echeveria)
## Maintenance
Keep the leaf surfaces dry after watering and remove spent leaves gently. Avoid crowding the rosette where airflow is poor, especially when conditions are cool or damp.
