Coral Reef Aqua Improved is an Echeveria with strongly ruffled foliage that adds texture indoors or outdoors. The Coral Reef profile gives a garden height of 5–10 inches, making it suitable for low containers and small foliage displays. ## Form and display
The Coral Reef group is grown for its pronounced, tactile leaf edges and works as a focal foliage accent in mixed succulent pots. Echeverias form evergreen rosettes of fleshy leaves; their flower stems rise above the foliage, while offsets can create additional rosettes. Use this compact selection near the front of a container or in a protected, sunny bed during warm weather. [RHS Echeveria guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/echeveria)
## Growing conditions
Give it bright light and a sharply draining cactus mix. Indoors, choose bright filtered light; outdoors, acclimate plants gradually to direct sun and bring them under cover before frost. Water modestly as the medium dries, and reduce watering during the cooler rest period. A container with drainage holes helps prevent wet roots. ## Maintenance
Remove spent flower stalks and fallen leaves, and keep the rosette clear of wet debris. Repot when it fills its container, using fresh gritty succulent mix.
