Create design onlineAbout Echinacea 'Aloha'
Echinacea ‘Aloha’ is an upright coneflower with broad melon-yellow petals around an orange central cone. Its fragrant flowers open from early summer into autumn above green foliage, bringing a bright, long-lasting display to sunny plantings.
## Garden Use
Terra Nova lists a 22-inch plant height, 28-inch width, and 32-inch flowering height, with USDA hardiness in zones 4–9. The broad flower heads suit mixed borders, mass plantings, and cut-flower gardens; its warm colors also pair well with blue, purple, or white perennials. Give the clump room to develop its stated spread.
## Growing Conditions
Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Terra Nova describes average garden soil and moisture, while the RHS lists loam, sand, and chalk among suitable soils. Water regularly while the plant establishes, then avoid keeping the crown in saturated soil. The breeder lists flowering from June through September.
## Maintenance
Deadhead fading flowers to extend the display. Allow the clump to settle before dividing; Echinacea can resent frequent disturbance.
