About Double Scoop™ Mandarin Coneflower

Double Scoop™ Mandarin is an Echinacea hybrid with saturated orange, double pom-pom flowers that hold their color as they age. The upright plant blooms in summer and fall and combines a compact footprint with bright, highly visible flower heads. ## Garden Use Proven Winners lists a mature height of 24–26 inches and a spread of 16–22 inches, with USDA hardiness in zones 4–9. Plant it in a sunny border, repeat it in a mass planting, or use it in a container. The long stems and durable flower heads also suit cutting and dried arrangements. ## Growing Conditions Give this coneflower full sun for strongest flowering; it tolerates part sun. Provide average water and good drainage, and water consistently while it establishes. Proven Winners describes the cultivar as drought tolerant once established and heat tolerant. The registered cultivar is ‘Balscandin’, within the Double Scoop™ series. ## Maintenance After establishment, reduce supplemental watering during dry periods while checking that the soil drains well. Remove old stems after the flowering season. Cultivar characteristics and care details are listed by [Proven Winners](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/echinacea/double-scoop-mandarin-coneflower-echinacea-hybrid) and the plant code is confirmed in [Darwin Perennials’ protection list](https://www.darwinperennials.com/Legal/PlantProtection/).
