CARA MIA™ ‘Seashell’ is a named coneflower selection with shell-pink double blooms and a green eye. Terra Nova lists an upright, basal-branching plant for full sun and USDA zones 4–9, with foliage near 12 inches and flowers reaching about 21 inches. ## Flower and form
The breeder describes the blossoms as long-lived, with glossy medium-green foliage beneath the branching stems. A spread near 21 inches gives the mound room to fill a border without the larger footprint of taller coneflowers. Flowers are listed from July through October, extending the pink display across summer and into fall.
## Placement
Use this selection in a sunny perennial border or pollinator planting where its double flowers can be seen at close range. Iowa State’s general coneflower guidance favors full sun and dry-to-medium soil; adapt irrigation to local conditions and follow the selection’s zone and dimension information. ## Maintenance
Water during establishment and avoid a bed that remains waterlogged. Remove faded stems when a tidier border or fewer seedlings are preferred, or leave selected flowerheads standing for seasonal structure. Make space for basal branching and avoid crowding the plant with neighboring clumps.
