About Echinacea 'French Tips'

Echinacea ‘French Tips’ is a compact, bushy coneflower whose pink petals have crisp white ends. Terra Nova describes large, fragrant flowers, a dense habit, and a long bloom season from June through October; its listed mature size is 20 inches tall, 24 inches wide, and 24 inches to the top of the flowers, for zones 4–9 ([Terra Nova](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/echinacea-french-tips/)). ## Flowers and placement The tidy flower pattern gives this selection a distinct look among pink coneflowers. Use it along a sunny border edge or in a mixed perennial bed, where its many blooms can be watched by visiting pollinators. Terra Nova lists it as fragrant and notes that pollinators swarm to its flowers. ## Growing conditions Provide full sun with average, well-drained garden soil. Average moisture is suitable; avoid leaving the crown in persistently wet soil. ## Maintenance Water while the plant establishes and during extended dry weather. Remove spent flowers to keep the clump neat, or leave mature heads for winter structure. Cut back old stems in late winter or early spring.
