KISMET® Yellow Coneflower

KISMET® Yellow is a compact coneflower with butter-yellow flowers and a dense crown. Terra Nova lists an 18-inch flowering height, a 24-inch spread, full-sun exposure, and flowers from June through October in USDA zones 4–9 ([cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/echinacea-kismet-yellow/)). ## Garden Use Use it near the front or middle of a sunny mixed border, along an edging, or in a repeated group for a broad summer display. The strong stems and long flowering season also make it suitable for cutting. The green foliage supports the yellow flowers without competing for color. ## Growing Conditions Plant in full sun and well-drained, average garden soil. Allow the soil to drain between waterings rather than keeping it continuously wet; Terra Nova's grower guidance also cautions against planting the crown too deeply. Its compact habit suits smaller garden spaces while its two-foot spread still needs room to develop. ## Maintenance Water during establishment and during extended dry periods. Remove spent flowers if you want to encourage more bloom; leaving some heads after flowering provides seed for wildlife and winter interest. Cut back old stems in spring as new growth appears.
