PowWow® White Coneflower (*Echinacea purpurea*) is an upright, free-flowering selection with white petals and yellow cones. PanAmerican Seed lists first-year plants at 16–20 inches tall and second-year plants at 22–24 inches, with a 12–16-inch spread. Its blooms span late spring, summer, and autumn, giving sunny borders and containers a long display.
## Garden use
The breeder positions PowWow White as the white member of a color-matched series, with a fuller, shorter, and better-branched habit than many seed-grown Echinacea. It is sold for first-year flowering and for gallon containers through landscape programs. The cultivar listing gives USDA Zones 4a–10b, upright habit, and sun exposure. ## Siting and water
Choose a sunny site with room for a 12–16-inch clump. PanAmerican Seed describes the plants as very drought tolerant and easy to care for; water during establishment, then water deeply during extended dry weather. Its late-spring start and autumn finish carry color across much of the warm season.
## Maintenance
Remove spent stems if you want a tidier appearance, or keep them through winter for seed heads and structure. In spring, cut back old stems and clear away damaged foliage before new growth fills in. Keep irrigation moderate once plants are established.
