Create design onlineAbout Prima™ Lime Coneflower
PRIMA™ ‘Lime’ brings an unusual green-and-cream flower to the compact PRIMA™ coneflower series. Its lime-colored petal tips frame a cream center and emerald eye that shifts toward golden yellow as the bloom matures; the breeder lists a 14-inch height, 10-inch spread, and flowers from June through October.
## Placement
Grow in full sun in USDA hardiness zones 4–9. The compact, mounding form suits the front of a mixed border or a container. The breeder lists flowering from June through October. See the [TERRA NOVA® cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/echinacea-prima-lime/) for the flower description, seasonal timing, and dimensions.
## Growing
Use average garden soil with good drainage. Plant the crown level with the surrounding soil; the breeder identifies planting too deeply as a common cause of losses in Echinacea. Water for establishment, then allow the soil to dry moderately between waterings and avoid prolonged waterlogging.
## Maintenance
Keep the planting open enough for airflow and check the crown after planting so it remains at soil level. During dormancy, avoid late applications of slow-release fertilizer. The [TERRA NOVA® Echinacea growing guidance](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/echinacea-prima-lime/) provides additional crop and watering details.
