About PRIMA® Tiger Coneflower

PRIMA™ ‘Tiger’ is a dwarf, mounding coneflower with orange-yellow, red-toned daisies and green foliage. Terra Nova lists foliage at 10 inches high and wide, flower stems to 16 inches, and bloom from June through October; see the [breeder’s cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/echinacea-prima-tiger/). ## Garden Use Use it at the front of a sunny border, in a mixed perennial bed, in repeated groups, or in a container. Its sturdy, compact shape fits smaller planting spaces, while the long bloom window carries color from summer into fall. ## Growing Conditions The breeder rates ‘Tiger’ for USDA zones 4–9 and full sun. Average garden water and average soil are listed, with coarse or slightly mineral soil preferred; good drainage supports the plant’s growth. ## Maintenance Water consistently while establishing and avoid planting where water stands around the crown. Keep the crown level with the surrounding soil. Remove spent stems for a tidy look or retain selected late flowers for additional garden structure.
