Kismet® Intense Orange Coneflower

KISMET® Intense Orange is a compact coneflower with vivid orange blooms on an upright, mounding plant. Terra Nova lists it at about 16 inches tall by 24 inches wide, blooming from June through October in zones 4–9. ## Garden placement Give this cultivar full sun and room for its roughly 2-foot spread. It suits the edge of a mixed border or a cutting garden, and its steady flowers can bring hummingbirds and other pollinators to the planting. Terra Nova’s [exact cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/echinacea-kismet-intense-orange/) also lists it as deer resistant and fragrant. ## Seasonal display The orange petals keep coming through summer and into fall. Pair the compact mound with lower edging plants or repeat it in small groups where its color can read across the bed. ## Maintenance Use well-drained garden soil and average watering. Keep water from standing around the crown; established plants can dry moderately between waterings. Remove spent stems when you want a tidier look, or leave them through the end of the season for structure.
