Create design onlineAbout Kismet® Red Coneflower
Kismet® Red Coneflower produces pure red flowers with dark central cones above green foliage. Monrovia lists this compact perennial at about 18 inches tall and 24 inches wide, with summer bloom continuing into fall until frost. It grows in full sun in USDA Zones 4–9 and is suited to borders, containers, and cut-flower use. Established plants tolerate mild drought, and the flowers attract pollinators.
## Garden Use
Plant in groups along a sunny border or use in a container with good drainage. The upright habit keeps the display tidy, while repeated red blooms provide color through the warm season. Flowers are suitable for cutting.
## Growing Conditions
Grow in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Water regularly while the plant establishes; it can tolerate mild drought after establishment.
## Maintenance
Remove faded flowers to encourage continued bloom and keep the display neat. Divide mature clumps when they become crowded.
