About Elaeagnus Olive Martini™

Olive Martini™ is an evergreen selection with olive-green leaves edged in gold and silvery new growth. Its dense, upright structure gives a sunny border lasting foliage color and makes the shrub useful as a specimen, hedge, or privacy screen. ## Growing Plant in full sun and well-drained garden soil. Southern Living lists mature dimensions of 10–15 feet tall and wide and USDA zones 6a–9b; the existing catalog dimensions and zones fit that guidance. Water deeply after planting and while the shrub establishes, then provide medium moisture. A 1–2 inch mulch layer helps conserve soil moisture; keep mulch clear of the stems. ## Seasonal interest Gold leaf margins remain visible through the year, with silvery new growth adding contrast in spring. Small, fragrant flowers appear in fall into winter. Use the plant where its mature width can develop or where occasional shaping can maintain a screen. ## Maintenance Feed once in early spring and prune as needed to shape.
