Golden Pothos is an evergreen tropical vine with glossy, heart-shaped leaves marked with yellow. Indoors, it can trail from a hanging basket or climb a support, and regular pruning helps keep its growth within the available space.
## Indoor Use
Place the plant in bright, indirect light; it can persist in lower light, although its yellow variegation may fade. The vines can root from stem cuttings in water, and a moss pole or other support encourages climbing. North Carolina State Extension lists Golden Pothos among the common names for *Epipremnum aureum* and describes its long trailing and climbing stems. ## Water and Soil
Use a well-drained potting mix and let it dry between waterings. Too much water can lead to root rot or blackened leaf margins. Wipe dust from the leaves occasionally and feed during active growth according to the product label. The plant contains calcium oxalate crystals and can irritate the mouth if chewed, so place it out of reach of pets and children.
## Maintenance
Prune long stems to control the shape or encourage fuller growth. Check leaves and stems for mealybugs or scale, and remove yellowing foliage as it appears.
