Blue Bells

Blue Bells is a compact evergreen emu bush with soft, silvery foliage and tubular purple flowers. The flowers attract hummingbirds, and its modest size suits warm, dry gardens where soil drains freely. ## Growing Conditions Give it full sun and sharply drained soil. Water regularly while young, then reduce irrigation once established; prolonged dampness around the roots is a poor fit. Growers report a mature size near 2–3 feet tall and wide, while some regional references list a slightly broader spread. ## Landscape Use Use Blue Bells as a low border shrub, in a rock garden, or among gravel and drought-adapted plants. Evergreen leaves provide a pale, soft-textured backdrop for purple flowers.
