Spreading fleabane

Spreading fleabane is a short-lived western wildflower with finely hairy leaves and branched stems bearing daisy-like heads. The rays range from white to lavender around a yellow center, with flowering reported from spring into fall. ## Garden Use Use it in a sunny native planting, open border, or naturalistic meadow edge where it can reseed lightly among other plants. It can grow in dry or moist valleys, rocky sites, meadow margins, and disturbed ground. Water new plants until established, then allow the soil to dry between watering. ## Maintenance Let a few flower heads set seed if you want it to return; deadhead before seed dispersal where volunteers are not desired. Remove spent plants once they decline.
