Showy Fleabane

Showy fleabane is an upright, clump-forming western native with narrow leaves and open clusters of daisy-like flowers. The rays are usually lavender or purple, with blue to white forms also reported; plants commonly reach about 18–24 inches tall and 18 inches wide. It occurs in woodland openings, shrub-steppe, and mountain meadows across western North America, and adapts to lower elevations. The airy flowers provide an early-summer color accent in a perennial border or naturalistic planting.
