‘Azure Fairy’ is a clump-forming fleabane with branching stems and semi-double, yellow-centered flowers in lavender-blue shades. The exact cultivar is also listed by the RHS as Erigeron ‘Azure Fairy’, with Erigeron speciosus ‘Azurfee’ among its synonyms; a specialist nursery identifies it as Erigeron speciosus ‘Azure Fairy’. [RHS](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/102006/erigeron-azure-fairy/details) describes plants around 45 cm tall, flowering from early to late summer.
## Siting and Seasonal Interest
Grow in full sun or partial shade in well-drained soil that does not become excessively dry in summer. In hotter gardens, light shade during the strongest midday sun can help. The upright stems carry a long summer display above green foliage, bringing a cool blue-lavender color to cottage borders, gravel gardens, coastal plantings, and wildlife beds. [Ogihara Nursery](https://www.ogis.co.jp/gallery/page01.php?fr=top&id=144) also records the exact ‘Azure Fairy’ selection at about 50 cm tall with lavender-blue flowers and a sunny exposure.
## Maintenance
Remove faded flower stems after the main display, then cut the plant back close to new growth in autumn or early spring. Divide established clumps in spring or propagate from seed. Avoid allowing the soil to dry out for extended periods during active summer growth.
