Buckwheat

*Eriogonum* (wild buckwheat) is a diverse genus of annuals, herbaceous perennials, subshrubs, and shrubs. Species differ widely in stature, leaf form, flower color, and bloom season, so a genus-level record cannot describe one uniform garden size or seasonal display. ## Garden Character Many buckwheats produce small flowers in clustered heads that dry to tan, rust, or brown.
