Gateway Joe Pye Weed

Dense foliage on reddish stems that produce large domes of tiny deep pink flowers from July to September. Flowers are highly attractive to butterflies and turn to interesting seed head that last well into winter on sturdy stems. Prune in early spring. Tolerates salt and clay but will not survive hot, dry sites.
