Euphorbia pulcherrima, the iconic poinsettia, is an upright, branching shrub or small tree native to Mexico. It features large, dark green, ovate leaves and tiny yellow flowers surrounded by showy, leaf-like bracts in brilliant red, pink, or white. Widely used as a festive indoor decoration, it thrives in bright, indirect light and consistent temperatures around 65°F. To trigger its seasonal color, it requires long periods of darkness. It is so ideal for containers or frost-free tropical hedges.
