About ABC™ 2 Rose Lisianthus

ABC™ 2 Rose is an upright, double-flowered lisianthus selected for long cut stems and a rose-toned floral display. The ABC line is produced for greenhouse and high-tunnel flower crops, where strong stems and a high petal count suit bouquets and event work. [Ball Seed's ABC 2 Rose profile](https://info.ballseed.com/WEBTRACKPLANTINFO.ASPX?PHID=039104598052476&env=P) describes 36–45 inch stems and an improved rose selection; this entry's PAS239794 identity is retained. ## Flowers and use Plants carry full blooms on upright stems, with the ABC 2 flowering group used for mid-timed production. Harvest stems when the first flower opens for arrangements, following the breeder's crop guidance. Lisianthus also works in a sunny cutting bed or large container where the stems can be supported and gathered easily. ## Growing conditions Provide bright light and moist, well-drained soil. The [NC State species guide](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/eustoma-grandiflorum/common-name/texas-bluebell/) recommends morning sun and afternoon shade in warm gardens; commercial ABC crops are grown in sun in greenhouses or high tunnels. Established transplants are usually easier than seed because early growth is slow. ## Maintenance Keep moisture steady during active growth without leaving roots in standing water. Support long stems as buds develop, remove harvested or spent stems, and protect plants from cold. The breeder lists this selection for cut-flower production rather than as a reliably hardy landscape perennial.
