About Flare Jade Lisianthus

Flare Jade is an upright lisianthus in the Flare F1 cut-flower series, with medium, double light-green flowers carried in sprays near the top of each stem. Its blooms open within a short window for a bouquet-like stem; Ball lists a 36–45 inch stem length and greenhouse or tunnel production ([Ball Seed plant information](https://info.ballseed.com/PlantInfo/?phid=039106930002610), [Ball California Spring Trials catalog](https://www.ballseed.com/PDF/Catalogs/Ball-CAST20-HighlightsBook.pdf), [PanAmerican Seed Flare culture sheet](https://www.panamseed.com/utility/CultureSheetPDF.aspx?pagename=culture.aspx&txtphid=031806212&type=Cut)). ## Flower and Use The Jade color adds a light green option to the Flare range. The series is selected for spray-type, double flowers with several blooms opening near the stem tip, making it useful as a focal or secondary flower in bouquets. ## Growing Grow in sun or produce cut stems in a greenhouse or tunnel. Full-sun outdoor crops may produce shorter stems than greenhouse-grown plants. Flowering time varies with temperature, daylength, light, and season. ## Maintenance Keep propagation media below 72°F from the second plug stage onward to reduce the risk of rosetting and stunting. Support tunnel crops as needed, scout for common lisianthus pests and diseases, and harvest when the first bloom on a stem is fully open.
