Create design onlineAbout Sapphire Blue Lisianthus
Sapphire Blue Lisianthus is a compact pot-plant selection grown for upright stems and blue flowers. Ball describes its Sapphire Blue lisianthus for small indoor containers, with a 5–6 inch height, 4–6 inch width, and flowering from late spring through late summer. See [Ball Seed’s plant information](https://info.ballseed.com/PlantInfo/?phid=031802981011065) for the Sapphire Blue Chip selection and its growing details.
## Placement
Use a bright position with sun and a well-drained container mix. The compact, well-branched habit suits a 4-inch pot or a grouping in a larger container. Keep the pot near the stated 4–6 inch spacing so the foliage can dry between waterings.
## Seasonal Interest
Flowers open from late spring into summer and late summer. The blue blooms are the main display; the plant is usually grown as a short-lived seasonal pot plant rather than a permanent landscape perennial.
## Maintenance
Water lightly, letting excess drain from the pot, and feed every two weeks while actively growing. Remove spent blooms to keep the small plant tidy and encourage continued flowering.
