Purple Fountain' is a narrow, upright, weeping European beech cultivar. It features a strong central leader with branches that cascade downwards, creating a fountain-like effect. The foliage emerges a deep burgundy-purple in spring, maturing to a dark purple-green in summer, and turning golden-bronze in autumn. It is an excellent specimen tree for smaller landscapes due to its slender habit. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and full sun. This slow-growing deciduous tree is prized for its architectural form.
