Variegated Ficus triangularis is an evergreen indoor fig grown for its triangular leaves edged in creamy white against green. The named selection retains its foliage pattern best in bright, filtered light, and its upright branches can be shaped as it develops into a small indoor tree. ## Placement and Light
Place it near a bright window with indirect light; gentle morning sun is tolerated, while harsh direct sun can scorch pale leaf margins. Rotate the pot occasionally for balanced growth. Published indoor size estimates vary from about 4–8 feet tall and 2–3 feet wide to 6 feet or more in height, so allow space for an upright specimen and prune selectively if needed. ## Water and Humidity
Water thoroughly, then let the upper potting mix dry before watering again. Reduce watering in lower light or cool conditions, and use a container with drainage to limit root problems. Average room humidity is usually adequate, though extra humidity can help in very dry heated rooms.
## Maintenance
Remove yellow or damaged leaves and trim long stems to maintain the desired shape. Avoid frequent repotting and sudden changes in light or watering, which can trigger leaf drop. The Sill does not recommend this plant in homes with pets.
