Compact, spreading dwarf variety of forsythia. Light yellow flowers in profusion before the leaves emerge in spring. Ovate, medium green leaves are attractive throughout the season. Gold Tide is the product of experiments done in France in which the plants of Forsythia 'Spring Glory' were irradiated with gamma rays. Seed from subsequent open pollination was collected and planted, resulting in on of the seedlings named 'Courtasol'.
