About Delizz Everbearing Strawberry

Delizz, the marketed name for strawberry cultivar ‘Liza’, is a compact, day-neutral garden strawberry that bears across an extended season. Its white spring and summer flowers are followed by sweet red fruit, and its restrained runners suit patio pots, hanging baskets, and small beds. ## Growth and siting Allow about 12–16 inches in height and 12 inches in spread; published measurements vary slightly with growing conditions. Give plants full sun and fertile, free-draining soil or good-quality compost. Space them roughly 18–20 inches apart so foliage and fruit trusses have room. Cropping begins in early summer and can continue into autumn in mild conditions. [RHS](https://rhs.crocdn.co.uk/plants/_/strawberry-delizz-liza-pbr/classid.2000052016/) describes the compact habit and extended crop, while [Ball Seed](https://info.ballseed.com/WEBTRACKPLANTINFO.ASPX?PHID=059500001033381&env=P) lists its white flowers and few runners. ## Fruit Keep developing berries off damp soil with straw or a reusable collar. Upright flower trusses display fruit above the foliage, making the plant easy to pick in a container or garden bed. The [Polish Nurserymen Association](https://zszp.pl/en/plants/plant-novelties-competition-zszp/plant-novelties-competition-2017/fragaria-xananassa-delizz/) identifies the selection as Delizz ‘Liza’ and reports spring-to-summer flowering. ## Maintenance Water well during warm weather and fruit growth, keeping the growing mix moist but free-draining. Delizz produces few runners, so little trimming is needed; remove them only when you want to keep a pot compact.
