About Crown imperial

Fritillaria imperialis is a striking bulbous perennial known for its dramatic upright growth habit. It features stout, ramrod-straight stems that reach up to four feet in height, adorned with whorls of glossy, lance-shaped green leaves. In late spring, it produces a magnificent terminal cluster of pendulous, bell-shaped flowers in shades of orange, red, or yellow, topped by a unique tuft of leaf-like bracts. Ideal for borders and rock gardens, it thrives in rich, well-drained soil and full sun.
