Fruit Punch® 'Black Cherry Frost' is a compact evergreen pink with finely textured gray-green to silvery-blue foliage. Its semi-double, velvety red flowers have light pink markings and a fine pale edge, and carry a lightly spicy fragrance.
## Flowers and placement
This cultivar belongs to Walters Gardens' Fruit Punch® series. Flowers appear in early summer; a quick shear after the first flush can encourage early-fall rebloom. The [breeder's listing](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=DIABF) describes the flower pattern, foliage, fragrance, and border or container use. The [plant patent](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP28605P2/en) records a height near 25 cm in flower and a spread near 26 cm; the [Canadian cultivar record](https://active.inspection.gc.ca/english/plaveg/pbrpov/cropreport/dia/app00010509e.shtml) confirms the denomination and fine color pattern.
## Growing conditions
Plant in full sun or part shade in well-drained soil. The patent recommends adequate moisture while noting that established plants tolerate some drought; it records hardiness in USDA zones 4–9.
## Maintenance
Shear lightly after the main flowering period to refresh the mound and support the later display. Keep drainage open around the evergreen crown.
