About Fruit Punch® Raspberry Ruffles Pinks

Fruit Punch® Raspberry Ruffles is a compact dianthus with fully double, raspberry-pink flowers edged in pale white and blue-green foliage. Walters Gardens lists it in the FRUIT PUNCH® series, with 8–10-inch height, 12–14-inch spread, hardiness zones 4–9, and early-summer flowers that can rebloom in early fall after shearing. [Walters Gardens](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=DIARF) ## Placement Plant it at a sunny border edge, in a rock garden, or in containers; its low mound suits the front of a mixed perennial bed. The many-petaled flowers also work for small bouquets. Full sun or part shade is suitable, with neutral to slightly alkaline, well-drained soil. ## Seasonal Display The double flowers have a light fragrance and retain a bright raspberry color with a narrow pale margin. Walters Gardens lists heat and humidity tolerance for the series, while flowering and evergreen foliage can vary with local climate. [Walters Gardens](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=DIARF) ## Maintenance Water during prolonged dry spells, especially while flowering. After the first flush, shear lightly to encourage an early-fall bloom; remove dead leaves and stems as needed. The U.S. plant patent is PP 30,073, issued January 8, 2019; the breeder also identifies CPBR 6,731. [Patent record](https://patents.justia.com/patent/PP30073)
