About Giant Cabuya

Furcraea foetida, known as Mauritius Hemp, is a robust perennial forming a massive rosette of sword-shaped, green leaves. These pliable, succulent leaves can reach six feet long, creating a dramatic architectural focal point. While usually stemless, older specimens may develop a short trunk. It is exceptionally drought-tolerant, thriving in well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. After years of growth, it produces a towering flower spike before the mother plant dies, leaving offsets.
